Cool Running {Shoes}

So I have officially decided that to get back into my motivated to run mode I need to encourage myself with a new pair of shoes. Every girl loves shoes, even if they are for physical activity. The truth is.... I miss running but can't seem to get super motivated. Maybe new shoes will do the trick?!?

I picked these out last March and have yet to buy them. Partially because they are pricey and the other reason is because they are a bit loud.

I designed them myself on nike.com, so yes I chose those outrageous colors. They are a bit bright huh? I mean I am nothing short of outrageous and not afraid to take chances but are these a bit overboard? My sister has some that are precious but I wonder if I am too old for these. I could re-design and take the colors down a notch and just leave a few brights in there, I guess. Either way Hannah says these shoes are comfy so I def want this style.

I love how everyone talks about how "in" leopard print is for accessories this upcoming Fall. Ummm, it's been "in" in my book since like 1999 and I'm not kidding. It never went out of style with this girl right here. Call me Queen of the Jungle, I love leopard. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

5 Things for Bryson Luke

Today is the day of my friend Amber's baby shower. Amber will be showered with gifts and love today for the arrival of Bryson Luke. Bryson has a special place in my heart as my first "nephew". I won't be an aunt for a long time cause my sister is only 17 so he gets to fill the void and call me Aunt Lulu!!!

As an aunt, I feel there are certain duties and obligations one must fulfill. One of those is giving them everything Mommy and Daddy won't. Lucky me I am a giver. I love to give gifts and presents and surprises so this will come EASY! As Bryson's crazy {literally} Aunt Lulu these are 5 things I can't wait to give/share with him...

1. Candy and caffiene

Lots and lots of candy and caffeine. Then send him packing back to Mommy Amber and Daddy Josh. They will LOVE me for this.

I chose gummy bears and Dr.Pepper because they are my favorite. I will be glad to share with Bry! 

2. Play Doh

I lovelovelove play doh. Everything about it including the smell. Call me crazy {cause I am}. When I was little my mom would NEVER let me have play doh at home cause she was afraid of me getting it in the carpet. My grandma always let me play with it at her house. I want Bryson to have some play doh. Every color of the play doh rainbow!

 

3. TCBY's Rainbow Cream icecream

I am not going to go into any specifics on this one. This ice cream is nothing but vanilla loaded down with enough food coloring to turn a 3rd world country blue! The thing about this icecream is that it turns certain *things* very crazy colors. I hope to give this to him before he is out of diapers if you know what I mean ;) wink wink!

4. A drum set

This one is a total DUH. I mean I definitely want to inspire our little musician to make some noise. I think he needs to play the drums... not the piano or trumpet. Those instruments are boring and  for pansies.  REAL MEN play the drums and I want Bry to be a womanizer. The girls always love drummers! I might even throw in a drum lesson or two with this little gift. Age 5 seems like the appropriate birthday for this, don't you think? I can see it now....

5. Explicable Language
Last but not least I would like to teach Bryson a few bad words. Actually, I kid. I plant to be on my best behavior around this kid {unless it's gameday then I can't make any promises}.

I will leave THIS ONE up to the guys aka Josh's friends. Trust me... if they are around Mama's boy he will be dropping curse words in no time but I will have NO PART in this corruption. Amber will be happy to hear this.

I still can't believe I am having friends having kiddies. I love babies though! Best of luck to Amber & Josh... I hope Bryson is a good baby so we can have Baby Girl soon :) Love you, Amber!

Fash Week has begun!

The only sad thing about going out of town this weekend for my friend Amber's baby shower and seeing all my friends in Mobile is that I won't be at home watching Fashion Week on QVC with my aunt. We did it last year... all weekend long.

All of my favorite Q designers are debuting their new designs... Rachel Zoe, Isaac Mizrahi, The Kardashians, Marc Bauwer, Heidi Klum ... ok you get it. {ps. people think that QVC is just for old ladies that sit at home and watch tv all day. I beg to differ! }

We watched Fashion's Night Out last night and already saw some amazeeeee things. Oh and great accessories too {favey}.

The Kardashians have a gorg animal print trench that may or may not have to have.

Life of a Traveler

When I say traveler, I really feel like a traveler aka a gypsy. Like I live out of a suitcase and my butt is glued to my car seat. You see, I get on these kicks where I some how get myself into these situations of 6 or 7 busy weekends in a row and at the end of it... I am pooped.

Last weekend marked my 1st runaway weekend. Well, I am off once again this weekend! This time I am going to Mobile for Amber's baby shower. So excited to spend time with her and my other friends and to see, I mean rub on Bryson. Oh and sing to him.

I designed this invite! I love it :) So perfect for little Monkey Bryson and his Jungle theme baby shower.

Tonight I got to do it to it and pack pack pack, finish up some things for the baby shower, watch Big Brother, workout, it all sounds impossible... maybe I won't get it all done but I will darn sure try. The best part {sarcasm} is going to be figuring out what to wear. Meeeeh excitement just went down-hill.

Guess what else I am doing this weekend!?!?

Saturday night we're loading up and going to The Palace Casino and Resort!! Woot woot. It's in Biloxi which is almost an hour from Mobile. I have been here A LOT. When I was in college I went tons of times with my friend Ash and her family. Some of the finest times and then some of my not-so-fine times have gone down here {let's say... New Years 2009, woops!} Loooove this place, but don't love to gamble so I sit back and have a few drinks and enjoy the atmosphere then head up to the room, order some room service and kick back with a nice movie. Cool thing about watching movies at the casino is most of them have just left the theatres.

When I say I have been here a lot, I mean I know the employees on a first name basis, have been personally escorted from casino-to-casino in their limo and have the bartender's number stored in my phone. I haven't been to the Palace in over a year due to having to work and grown up stuff like that... sooooo I AM SO AMPED.

I will have a great picture post after this weekend, I am sure!

Rainy Day Dreaming

It's rained on me non-stop since Friday. I may or may not be about to float away. Needless to say; it's rained on my parade. It was *cold* in September in Alabama {surely hell has not frozen over}. It was just one of those I-wanna-lay-in-the-bed-and-sleep-all-day-kind-of-days. Instead I went to work. 

I can't help but have rain boots on my mind.
